Radion XR15
The Best-In-Class Just Keeps Getting Better!
The newest generation of EcoTech Radion continues to lead the way in the industry with mind-blowing improvements in light output and color. With a new LED cluster, Hybrid Hemispherically Edge Illuminating (HEI2) optical system, and diodes pushing deeper into the UV spectrum; the G6 Radions are bound to become your new favorite LED reef light.
Why does BRS recommend the EcoTech Marine Radion?
Quite simply, EcoTech Marine Radions are the LED’s we most often choose to light our own tanks. With the chance to use just about any light we want, there are probably more Radions in use around BRS than any other LED fixture. Through years of experience, we’ve seen the proven results in our growing, thriving reefs.
From Aquaculture to the home aquarium, there is a high likelihood that the coral you know and love has been grown or “colored-up” under a generation of Radions.
Features and Improvements to the Radion G6
Radions are the standard in aquarium lighting for a reason. Each generation has built upon the successful results of the last, incorporating the latest in design and technology to bring us a state-of-the-art light that blends proven results with greater ease of use. Ecotech Marine has spent significant time and effort in developing and testing lighting programs, such as the popular SPS AB+, that deliver maximum results from their fixtures and bring out the best in our corals. The Radion G6 incorporates a new Hemispherically Edge Illuminating optic system with redesigned LED placement to deliver beautiful shimmer, superior color mixing, even PAR, incredible spread, and even adjustable hues!
- New HEI2 Optic System
- Super-Wide 126.3 Degree Spread
- 395nm Diodes for Ultimate Fluorescence
- Rebalanced Color Channels and LED Mix
- Even PAR & High Output
- Moonlight & Weather Simulation
- Proven CoralLab AB+ Spectrum
- Fully Programmable
- Wireless Mobius App control
Mind-Blowing Spread with HEI2 Optical System
The Radion G6 achieves its mind-blowing 126.3 degree spread through a new and improved optical system. EcoTech implemented a change to the primary lens on the LEDs, which then integrates with the geometry of the existing HEI (Hemispherically Edge Illuminating) secondary lens to increase the output from an already impressive 110.5 to an outstanding 126.3 degrees! The super-wide spread has an added benefit of increasing output by reflecting off the aquarium side glass walls and reflecting light back into the tank, thus reducing shadows and providing light to the undersides of corals. This means that you can now light your tanks with even less fixtures! The G6 has the highest average output out of all Radions and can provide even PAR across almost four feet of coverage area with its XR30 model, making it perhaps the most efficient aquarium light made to date.
Blue vs. Pro
The Radion G6 BLUE has gotten even bluer! Adjustments to the diode mix and the addition of 395nm offer new depths of color intensity and increased fluorescence. With the G6, you now have the ability to tune the Blue between actinic and crisp to find the perfect aesthetics for your tank.
The Radion G6 PRO is what you see as the lighting of choice in many public aquariums, aquaculture facilities, and coral spawning laboratories worldwide. It features a balanced LED mix with proven spectrums similar to the output of Metal Halide lighting.
Compact & Sleek, High-Quality Design
EcoTech Marine aims to produce the most minimally intrusive reef aquarium equipment available. The G6 continues to showcase Radion’s sleek styling, small footprint, and quiet fan with revolutionary heatsink. The Radion boasts a technologically superior design with premium quality components and unmatched customer support. Better yet, the Radion G6 is still backwards compatible with the extensive mounting options and accessories available to the previous generation of Radion, so you can still customize your lighting experience to fit your individual aquarium needs.

Mounting
Ecotech offers multiple types of mounting solutions for the G6 family of Radion LED lights. From full tank track systems letting you use multiple G6 Radion lights, to single light RMS mounting arms and hanging kits.
RMS Mounting Arm - For mounting a single light fixture over your tank. Lights may be mounted at 90-degree increments.
RMS Track System - The 3 piece system lets you mount multiple Radion lights in a single track that lets you slide them back and forth to create the best coverage for your tank. The multi-light rail kit is available in lengths up to 8ft and is perfect for larger tanks, letting you use either a hanging kit to suspend the track system or the RMS Arm Kit for a tank mounting option. RMS multi-light kits work with both XR15 and XR30 model lights or a mixture of both.
RMS Hanging Kit - If tank mounting is not an option for your multilight rail - or you prefer an even more minimal aesthetic - hang the multi-light rail.
